University of Co-operative and Management, Thanlyin (UCMT) traces its distinguished origins to 19 May 1994 when it was established as Yangon Co-operative Regional College. Located at 8 Miles (13 km from Yangon city center) in Thanlyin Township, Yangon Region, the college was renamed Yangon Co-operative Degree College in 1996 and upgraded to Co-operative University (Thanlyin) in the 2012โ2013 academic year.
UCMT is one of Myanmar's best business universities, offering a unique Bachelor of Business Science (B.B.Sc.) with five innovative specializations: Accounting & Finance, Applied Statistics, Marketing Management, Regional Development, and Social Enterprise Management. The university accepts 300 students annually for its four-year degree programmes and also offers postgraduate diplomas (PGDip) and master's programmes in all five specializations.
