About the University
The University of Computer Studies, Meiktila (UCSMTLA) is a government university located in Meiktila, Mandalay Region, Myanmar. Established in 2001 as a Computer College and upgraded to university status in 2007, it serves as a key hub for technology education in Central Myanmar.
Operating under the Ministry of Science and Technology, UCSMTLA offers four-year undergraduate programs including B.C.Sc. (Computer Science) and B.C.Tech. (Computer Technology). These programs train students in Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and network infrastructure.
The university's mission is "Quality Education for Peace, Progress and Change" — developing graduates who are technically skilled and capable of contributing to national modernization. With student-centered teaching, modern computer laboratories, and curricula covering Cybersecurity, Data Mining, and Mobile Development, UCSMTLA bridges academic learning with private sector technology needs.

၂၀၀၁ ခုနှစ်တွင် ကွန်ပျူတာကောလိပ်အဖြစ် စတင်တည်ထောင်ခဲ့ပြီး ၂၀၀၇ ခုနှစ်တွင် တက္ကသိုလ်အဆင့်သို့ တိုးမြှင့်ခဲ့သည်။ ဤတက္ကသိုလ်သည် အလယ်ပိုင်းဒေသရှိ နည်းပညာပညာရေးအတွက် အဓိကဗဟိုချက်ဖြစ်ပြီး ကွန်ပျူတာသိပ္ပံဘွဲ့ (B.C.Sc.) နှင့် ကွန်ပျူတာနည်းပညာဘွဲ့ (B.C.Tech.) ဟူသော (၄) နှစ်သင်တန်းများကို အဓိကထား သင်ကြားပေးပါသည်။
တက္ကသိုလ်၏ ရည်မှန်းချက်မှာ "ငြိမ်းချမ်းရေး၊ တိုးတက်ရေးနှင့် ပြောင်းလဲမှုအတွက် အရည်အသွေးရှိသော ပညာရေး" ဖြစ်ပြီး နည်းပညာပိုင်းတွင် ကျွမ်းကျင်ရုံသာမက နိုင်ငံတော်ခေတ်မီဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်ရေးတွင် အထောက်အကူပြုနိုင်မည့် ဘွဲ့ရပညာရှင်များ ပေါ်ထွက်လာစေရန် ရည်ရွယ်ပါသည်။
